Despite offering their service for free, the Vodacom e-School was struggling to get users to register. Those scholars who did register, weren't spending as much time on the site as had been hoped.
A heuristic review of the key user journeys was conducted highlighting improvements that could be made to the system.
The VIMM Model was used to assess the (V)isual, (I)ntelectual, (M)otor and (M)emory loads the interface placed on the user across various screens and user journeys. Using this process key interaction issues were discovered and rated in terms of how important they were to fix.
Once these recommendations were implemented marked improvements in the sites performance were measured.
